《失乐园》中撒旦形象的矛盾性(毕业论文6700字)
摘 要:约翰•弥尔顿(1608-1674)是英国17世纪伟大的诗人,他的作品对整个欧洲的文学、政治产生了巨大而深远的影响。其代表作《失乐园》使之成为了在英国历史上仅次于莎士比亚的伟大文学家。而对于《失乐园》中撒旦形象的争议持续了几百年。本文尝试从多种角度来探讨撒旦形象的矛盾性。作者提出审视撒旦形象时,应深入了解作者和文学作品的相关信息,考虑当时社会背景,政治,宗教信仰等等。由此得出撒旦的形象是复杂的,无论英雄还是恶魔都不能概括撒旦的特征,他应当被当成一个整体,辩证地看待。本研究对重新审视文学作品中人物形象具有重要的意义。

Ambivalence in the Image of Satan in Paradise Lost
Abstract: John Milton is a great English poet of the 17th century, whose work has caused a great and far-reaching on European literature and politics. Milton has been accepted as the second only to Shakespeare in the history of England on account of his most representative work, Paradise Lost. The controversy about the image of Satan in Paradise Lost has been lasting for hundreds of years.This paper attempts to discuss the ambivalence in the image of Satan from the different aspects. The author puts forward when viewing the image of Satan, firstly we should acquire the related knowledge of the author and the literary work, and then we must consider social background, politics, religious beliefs at that time. It concludes that the image of Satan is complex, neither hero or devil is able to cover the Satan’s characteristics. He should be taken as a whole and be treated dialectically. The research is of great significance to review the image of people in literary works.
